Many institutions are focused on the start of a new academic year and in completing the IPEDS and FISAP reports. During this busy time, it is important to remember the quarterly deadline associated with HEERF reporting.
Institutions that received funding under HEERF I, II, or III are required to publish quarterly reports detailing expenditures of the funds. Both the Institutional Portion and Student Portion reports covering the period of July 1 – September 30, 2021 must be posted to the institution’s primary website no later than October 10, 2021.
With regard to the Institutional Portion report, the U.S. Department of Education (“ED”) is now requiring that the report be saved as a digital PDF (i.e., scanned PDFs are not permitted) with a file name in the following format:
[8- digit OPEID]_[Survey Name]_[Quarter/Year]_[Date of Release]
Although not required, ED encourages institutions to email a PDF copy of the reports to HEERFreporting@ed.gov.
