Lobbying/Election Law
PPSV advises professional societies, trade associations, other nonprofit organizations, and for-profit corporations on various federal lobbying and election law issues. With respect to lobbying law, the firm counsels clients on House and Senate ethics rules and regulations governing lobbying registration and reporting as well as IRS rules governing lobbying by tax-exempt organizations.
With regard to election law, we assist our clients with the establishment and operation of political action committees and in complying with rules on contribution limits, solicitation restrictions, independent expenditures, candidate support and endorsement activities, and corporate communications. We also help our clients understand and comply with IRS rules restricting political activity by tax-exempt organizations.
