Last week, Powers participated in the virtual Everybody Wins trivia night, an annual event that raises funds for critical shared reading programs for children across the Washington, DC region.
Powers was one of nine firms that competed to win the Litterae Magister (Master of Literacy) trophy. The team, known as “Power Hour,” ended with a fourth-place finish—just a few points out of the top three. The Powers team consisted of team captain Megan La Suer, Rob Portman, Natalie Dobek, Joe Nahra, Ryan Spraker, and Taylor Dowd.
Everybody Wins DC is a non-profit organization that helps children thrive by building connections through reading. The annual Lawyers for Literacy trivia night supports the organization’s shared reading programs for the 2020-2021 school year, including one-on-one reading-based mentoring, small group read-alouds, family workshops, and free book distributions to families across the DC region.
Each team that participated in trivia night has a dedicated page to donate to Everybody Wins’ Fill the Shelf Campaign. Click here to make a donation through the Powers team page.
Thanks and congratulations to all who participated!
