Powers Education Counsel Laura Sitarski will moderate a panel on admissions best practices on August 1st, 2019 at the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) Annual Conference.
FAPSC is a nonprofit that works on behalf of Florida’s degree granting and non-degree granting career schools and colleges. The organization’s annual conference brings together administrators and other education professionals to discuss pertinent topics in the higher education field.
Laura’s panel will delve into best practices, questions and concepts about admissions, and ideas for attendees to bring to their institutions. Panelists include Eneisy Rodriquez of Florida National University, Tara Augustine of Arizona College, Nick Ferlisi of Concorde Career College, and Piera Mowery of Southeastern College.
Laura Sitarski serves as Counsel in the Powers Education practice. She advises educational institutions on significant institution-wide matters like state, federal, and accreditation compliance, and defends litigation from qui tams to single-plaintiff student and employee cases. She also provides counseling on student discipline and complaints, disability accommodation, Title IX investigations, and how to draft and implement clear, predictable policies to address such issues.
