Powers attorneys Barbara Williams, Peggy Tighe, Jason Reddish, and Mark Ogunsusi each spoke at the fall edition of the 340B Grantees Conference in Buffalo, New York October 20th-22nd. . The conference is attended by grantee “covered entities” that participate in the federal 340B drug discount program, as well as other stakeholders.
340B Practice lead, William von Oehsen welcomed conference attendees at a Powers reception to kick off the conference, sharing the history of the program and his passion for protecting it from what he noted are unprecedented and unfounded attacks on 340B safety net providers.
Attorney Mark Ogunsusi was on a pre-conference panel providing conference-goers who are new to the 340B program with a solid foundation in 340B program compliance. Mark also addressed the full conference to update the attendees on critical 340B program successes at the state level, including many supported by Powers.
Barbara Williams and Peggy Tighe addressed the full conference to provide an update on federal issues in the 340B program. Peggy also shared effective advocacy strategies with conference attendees at another session.
Jason Reddish spoke on panels describing compliant ways in which covered entities can help patients access care, including permissible discounts on 340B drugs. He also joined two representatives from Trillium Health to discuss compliance with respect to clinic-administered drugs.
