The University of Tennessee College of Law has asked Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville founder Jim Pyles to present a lecture to alumni and current students at a reunion weekend on November 2, 2012. The lecture is entitled, “Health Reform, Health Information Privacy, Same Sex Marriage and Individual Autonomy Under the Constitution” and will cover the confluence of healthcare reform, technology, and expanding civil rights.
These issues are forcing Congress and the Supreme Court to re-evaluate some of our nation’s founding principles such as the right of law-abiding citizens to be left alone. What role can and should today’s lawyers play in addressing these issues? For more information, contact Jim Pyles at 202-466-6550 or Jim.Pyles@ppsv.com.
