Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville Principal Jim Pyles published “The Right to Obtain Restrictions Under the HIPAA/HITECH Rule: A Return to the Ethical Practice of Medicine,” which was published in the May issue of the American Bar Association’s Health E-Source newsletter. The article addresses the right in the HITECH Act of individuals to obtain restrictions on the disclosure of health information to health plans if they pay out of pocket.
