Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville is pleased to announce that partner James M. Jorling was elected President of the firm and Chair of the Executive Committee, effective April 1, 2016. He succeeds Stanley A. Freeman, who served the firm in that capacity since 2007. Stan remains a partner in the firm and will continue his representation of education clients.
Jim Jorling, an experienced healthcare attorney, has been with the firm since 2004. In his practice, Jim counsels clients with respect to the impact of federal healthcare laws and regulations, providing targeted and strategic advice on business transactions and regulatory issues. Jim’s healthcare experience includes advising on a range of matters affecting healthcare organizations.
Prior to joining private practice, Jim served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and as a Health Policy Assistant for the Presidential Transition Office and the Health Care Advisory Group for the Clinton-Gore Campaign.
Jim graduated from Miami University in 1981 and earned his law degree from University of Cincinnati in 1984. He is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Ohio.
