Powers is pleased to announce national and regional practice area rankings in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers edition of Best Law Firms.

Powers received a National Tier 1 ranking in the area of Native American Law and a National Tier 2 ranking for Health Care Law. Powers also received a Metropolitan Tier 1 ranking in Washington, DC, for Education Law, Health Care Law, and Native American Law.

Best Law Firm rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.

To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top four percent of practicing attorneys in the U.S. Ten Powers attorneys across three practice areas were recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for 2019.

Principals Stan Freeman and Sherry Gray were recognized in the Education Law section of Best Lawyers. Principals Mark Fitzgerald, Diane Millman and Barbara Straub Williams and Senior Counsel Joel Hamme and Jim Pyles were recognized in the Healthcare Law section.

Principals Brian Gunn, Paul Moorehead and Kevin Wadzinski were recognized in the Native American Law section. Best Lawyers has recognized each attorney for five years.
