Powers Principal Nick Michiels has been elected as an Allied Director for the Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) Board of Directors. His term begins on July 1, 2022.
CECU is a membership organization of accredited postsecondary schools, institutes, colleges, and universities that provide career-specific educational programs. The association engages in advocacy, communications, professional development, and research that advances the work of the postsecondary career education sector. As an Allied Director, Nick will assist with the advocacy agenda and strategic planning of the association and provide feedback on CECU’s policies, procedures, and activities.
Nick has more than a decade of experience counseling postsecondary institutions, service providers, and investors regarding compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency standards. He also represents postsecondary entities in audit and program review proceedings before the U.S. Department of Education, and in transactions regulated by education regulatory agencies.
