Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville Principal Jim Pyles co-led a series of Clearwater Compliance webinars on August 7, 14, and 21 on the Omnibus HIPAA/HITECH Final Rule. The sessions provided thorough instruction on implementing the new regulations, ways to mitigate risk of noncompliance, and strategies to prepare for OCR and CMS audits. Physicians and other health care providers implemented the new HIPAA requirements by the September 23, 2013 compliance deadline.
