Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville Principal William von Oehsen served as a speaker and moderator during the three day 17th Annual 340B Coalition Conference on Improving Access to Pharmaceutical Care and Ensuring Compliance with Federal and State Laws, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC from July 15-17, 2013.
On Monday, July 15 Mr. von Oehsen was the moderator for the panel, “Basics of Creating and Maintaining a Compliant 340B Contract Pharmacy Arrangement.” Mr. von Oehsen spoke later in the day at the “Hospital Breakout Session.” On Tuesday, July 16, Mr. von Oehsen moderated “The Future of Contract Pharmacy,” while on Wednesday, July 17 he moderated “340B and the Safety Net Post- Healthcare Reform” and “340B Repayment Options for Providers and Manufacturers.”
In conjunction with the conference, Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access (SNHPA) recently released a new 340B report entitled: Setting the Record Straight About 340B: A Response to Critics; and launched a new website: 340BFacts.com, and a Twitter feed (@340BFacts), which is aimed primarily at policymakers, opinion leaders, and the media. Mr. von Oehsen, who helped establish and previously served as President and General Counsel of SNHPA, presented during the press event on the history of the 340B program.
